Coaching is a professional relationship with someone who will advise you, guide you, support you, and accept nothing but your best. The coaching relationship focuses on the client taking action toward the realization of their goals. Coaches provide an outside perspective and keep the big picture in mind--your vision of your life. Life coaches aren't counselors or therapists; they are not usually qualified to diagnose or treat mental health matters. The life coaches' primary role is to provide a system that makes it easier for their clients to achieve their goals.
Coaching can be thought of as the map to get you from where you are now to where you want to go. It can show you the easiest way and provide a route, but you still must do the work and have the drive to get there. Through questioning and personal discovery the client builds awareness and takes responsibility for their life; the coach provides structure, accountability, support and feedback. Life coaches help their clients identify good habits which move their lives forward and empowers them to overcome self-imposed limitations or fears which hold them back. What is parent Coaching?
Parent coaching works with people to help them become the parent they want to be, to design the family they want. Parent Coaching focuses on helping you find answers that are consistent with your values, beliefs, and important ideas about parenting. We do not push our values or parenting methods. Colorado Coaching Company believes that you have the best answers for you and your family and we are committed to helping parents develop a style of parenting that revolves around those answers.

A parent coach can provide new tools to use in your parenting job. Just as a mechanic who only has a hammer and a few wrenches will not be as effective on working on your car, a parent with only the tools they learned from their parents, will not be as effective with raising today’s kids. Our coaches will also look at other aspects of your life that are calling for attention. When we attend to those parts of our lives, our children benefit. Often when we are quick to lose our temper with our kids, it’s about us, not them. When we get upset over little things, it’s usually not about our kids or what they have done. What is frequently labeled as “bad behavior” often has more to do with us than them. The primary goal of any coach is to offer perspective and facilitate change. Parent coaching is no different.
